WE DO NOT OWN
THE MARKS.WE SECURE
THE RECORD.Our marks belong to our Aiga.
Malofie.com is the first-ever and only digital vault created to record and connect the bearers of these marks across time and place.
We are establishing the world’s first and only verified network for the Sogaimiti and Malu — past and present.
We use enterprise-grade infrastructure to build a permanent archive — securing our history against erasure, tampering, and unconsented use by artificial intelligence or human intent.
Your History. Your Data. Our Security.
Malofie (mah-l-au-fee-eh) is the respectful term used in Fa'asamoa (the Samoan language) to describe the collective group of males and females who bear the traditional markings of the sogaimiti and malu respectively.
Malofie.com is the world’s first and only verified digital network for the Sogaimiti and Malu. It is a permanent digital vault designed to secure our lineage and connect the history of our Tatau across the globe.
The threat is digital. As our elders pass and technology advances, our unrecorded history is at risk of being misappropriated by AI or eroded by time. We must secure an accurate record to ensure the stories related to our community are told from a perspective of those within the community.
It ensures that our marks belong to us. By establishing a verified registry, we protect our intellectual property, adhere to data sovereignty, and ensure our future bearers can trace those bearers before them.
Getting a Tatau is never a solo journey and often involves an entire community. This community celebrates not only the bearers but also those who supported them - especially if the bearer has passed away.
Your data and information will be treated with the utmost security and respect and will only be used in alignment with the purpose and mission of creating a digital archive for the Tatau Community. For more information and detail on our process, click below on "Your Privacy".
The Registry opens for recording our history on Sunday 31st May 2026. Request your invitation above to be a part of our digital journey as a community.
